Meet the Teacher Presentations
We hope you found the presentations this week useful. If you have any further questions please ask - the best time to catch teachers is at the end of the school day after all the children have been released.
In our Prayers
Some of you are aware that one of our past parents, Mrs Attipoe, recently passed away. Mrs Attipoe was a much valued member of our school and parish community, an active member of our PTA (her goat curry was always a fantastic hit at our Summer Fete) and a supportive and loving mother to three of our past pupils. We hope you will join us in praying for her family during this difficult time.
Mrs Sullivan’s Early Bird Group
Letters were sent out last week inviting a new group of children to join Mrs Sullivan’s Early Bird Group. The first session is taking place next Tuesday at 8.30am (please wait by the front entrance for Mrs Sullivan to let your child in).
Pupil Voice Day
Next Tuesday 19th September we will be holding our Pupil Voice Day in school. We will be carrying out various activities across the day including interviews, questionnaires and School Council meetings to give all pupils a voice concerning how our school can be improved.
Last Book Fair
Thank you very much to the all families who bought books and stationery at our last Scholastic Book Fair. We have managed to raise £280 in free books for our school.
Lunch Boxes
We are really proud to have been designated as a Healthy London School. As a part of our healthy school initiative our pupil School Council has established the following Lunch Box Policy:
|

·Crisps ·Sweet biscuits ·Cakes |
Early Years/Year 1: Speech and Language Coffee Morning
We would like to invite all EYs/Yr1 parents to our Coffee Morning on Thursday 28th September. We will be serving tea, coffee and pastries in the hall from 8.40am – please feel free to make your way to the Hall after you drop your children off in the morning.
At 9am, we will be joined by Dr Natalie Moss (EP), who will lead a short informal talk covering the following:
·Typical levels of speech and language development in children (Nursery to Year 1).
·How to support speech and language at home.
·What parents should do if they have any concerns.
We are really fortunate that Natalie has given up her time to attend and it would be fantastic to see as many family members as possible on the day. If you are a new parent to our school this would also serve as a great opportunity to meet other family members.
Teacher Training Day – School Closed
Our second teacher training day for this year will take place on Friday 29th September. School will be closed on this day for all pupils.
