Mrs Sullivan’s Early Bird Group

Unfortunately Mrs Sullivan’s Early Bird (8.30am) group will not be taking place next Wed 27th and Thur 28th September as our ICT Suite is out of use for these two days. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Early Years/Yr1 Coffee Morning

Just a reminder that this will take place next Thursday 28th September, from 8.40am (parents can make their way to the school hall after dropping their children off in the morning).

At 9am, we will be joined by Dr Natalie Moss who will lead a short (20 minute) talk covering the following:

·Typical levels of speech and language development in children (Nursery to Year 1).

·How to support speech and language at home.

·What parents should do if they have any concerns.

Space Dress-up/Non-Uniform Day

Next month we are planning to hold a Space Fortnight and have planned lots of activities for the children to enjoy. On Friday 13th October we are inviting all pupils to come to school in clothes associated with science fiction characters/creatures from space stories, films or TV programmes e.g. Star Wars, Dr Who etc. There will be prizes for the most imaginative costumes worn in each class. Although this isn’t for a few weeks we thought we’d give you plenty of time to start thinking about possible costumes.

School Fundraising Team (PTA) Newsletter 21st September 2017

Thank you, PTA Class Representatives!

We would like to thank all the PTA Class Reps. who worked so hard last year and have generously offered to continue in their roles this year. Good-bye to Agueda who has stepped down this year and thank you for all your help last year.

Welcome Maria Kirby who is the new PTA Class Rep for year 1.

What does a PTA Class Rep. do?

A Class Representative is one of the most valuable roles within our school community and doesn’t take up loads of time.

Not everyone reads the school newsletter or has access to emails/internet so this role is about talking to parents in your child’s year, at drop off or pick up, about the events being organised by the PTA community.

This is a very informal but effective way for us to communicate together to make sure every parent has access to information and events.

It’s also a great way to get to know the other parents too.

That’s it, you’re not signing up to anything else outside of this crucial role, however, if you do want to be more involved you can check out the other activities here (http://www.st-marys.hillingdon.sch.uk/_site/data/files/pta/CCA14811E9FED39B72FEB939F98A7CE0.pdf)
