Dear parent/carer,

The children have been busy, this week, taking various end of term tests. These have included reading, maths, grammar, punctuation and spelling tests as well as an assessed piece of independent writing. The results will be analysed and used to set individual pupil targets and any support needed. You will have the opportunity to discuss your child’s results at one of our Parents’ Evenings scheduled for Tuesday 9th and Thursday 11th January (a letter inviting you to select a convenient time will follow at a later date).

Christmas Jumpers Needed

Tomorrow, our PTA are inviting all pupils to come to school wearing Christmas clothes. This could be Christmas colours (red/green), Christmas jumpers or accessories i.e. hats, hair bands, decorations attached to a top. There is no need to spend any money on an outfit. Please bring in chocolates, wine or spirits for the Christmas Fayre at school drop-off in the morning. The PTA team will collect your donations at the front entrance. Thank you for your help in advance.

Pavilions Carol Concert

Next Thursday 7th December, our Year 5 pupils will represent our school at the annual carol concert in the Pavilions shopping centre. All parents and family members are most welcome to attend. The concert will start at 5pm and is scheduled to finish at approximately 6pm.

Christmas Fayre

The big day has almost arrived! Our Christmas Fayre will take place next Friday 8th December - from 3.30 until 5.30pm. Our PTA have been working hard organising lots of stalls and attractions including our Santa’s grotto, Christmas tombola, games, arts & crafts and refreshments including mulled wine and mince pies. We hope to see you there!

School Uniform

Just a reminder that all pupils need to wear a school tie with their white shirt. We also ask that all hair bands, clips, bows and other accessories are small in size and plain in colour (black, grey, green/white).

Boxes of Tissues Needed

It’s that time of year again when tissues are in high demand across the school and our supplies are running really low! If any parents would like to donate any boxes of tissues to our school this would be much appreciated. Please send any boxes into school via your child’s book bag. Thank you in advance.

Pavilions Carol Concert

Year Five have been invited to sing along with other schools at the Pavilions Carol Service on Thursday 7th December. The carol service is from 17:00 – 18:00 in Chequers Square (event space between TK Maxx & Primark). All Year Five children are expected to be there by 4.45pm ready for the carol service to begin. It should be a great event to help us all get into the Christmas spirit by joining in with singing the carols.

Texting messaging service

Due to the cost each text involves we are able to message just one main contact number per child. The text messages are being sent to the main contact you have indicated as preference 1.
