Dear parent/carer, Thank you to everybody who came along to support our Christmas Fayre on Friday. Our PTA did a fantastic job of organising all of the stalls and attractions. Hours of work went into making this event such a success including selling raffle tickets, sourcing prizes, ticketing items for the tombola and decorating Santa’s grotto and the school hall – we really appreciate all of the hard work. Our School Community raised the following: Fayre: £1273.99, Raffle: £1018.26, Tea Towels: £344.50, Scholastic Books: £373.00. It’s been a particularly busy week! On Tuesday, our Early Years pupils performed their Christmas Nativity for parents, carers and family members. The children sang enthusiastically and performed brilliantly reminding us of the true meaning of Christmas. On Wednesday, all pupils came into school wearing their Christmas jumpers in preparation for our Christmas lunch. There was a really festive atmosphere in the hall as pupils, and staff, were served turkey and all the trimmings (+ crackers) to the sound of Christmas songs. We also held our ‘No Pens Wednesday’ event on the same day with pupils taking part in debates, speeches, ‘performance poetry’ and class joke telling competitions. The aim of the day was to promote the importance of speech and language as well as good communication skills. This afternoon our Yr1 and Yr2 pupils are set to perform their Christmas Production for visitors. This production will be repeated, tonight, at 6pm. We ask that parents drop their children off in class before making their way to the school hall to be seated (the front entrance will be opened at 5.30pm).
Christmas Carol Concert We would like to invite all pupils, parents, carers and family members to attend our annual Carol Concert next Tuesday 19th December. This will take place, from 4pm, in Church. The carols and readings will be led by our Year 6 pupils. We hope to see you there.

End of Term Mass
Our end of term Mass will take place next Wednesday 20th December. If you are able to help accompany your child’s class to and from Church – please let their teacher know as soon as possible. We will leave school at approximately 9am (the Mass will start at 9.30am). Thank you in advance.
Wrapping-up Warm
We have seen some very cold weather over the last couple of weeks. All pupils are encouraged to bring in plain black/green jogging bottoms for when they do outdoor PE lessons.
Early Bird Groups
Both Mrs Sullivan’s Early Bird Group and Mrs Owen’s Year 6 Kent group will finish tomorrow. A new group of pupils will be invited to attend Mrs Sullivan’s intervention after Christmas. Mrs Owen’s current group will continue on Thursday 4th January (first day back after Christmas).
Gymnastics, Chelsea Football Club and Multisports Clubs
These clubs’ sessions are finishing this week. Please note there will not be clubs next week. Letters with instructions on how to join for the next term are being sent.
Class Discos
Next Monday, all classes will get the opportunity to attend one of three discos taking place in the school hall. Pupils still need to wear their full school uniform on this day.
You Choose
This year, all classes will perform one Class Assembly for parents, carers and family members. During the last academic year, we trialled holding these assemblies at 9am but a large percentage of parents fed back that they preferred the original 3pm time slot. Please complete the Google survey below if you would like to make your preference known - we will analyse the results of this poll and hold the assemblies at the most popular time. This survey will close at the end of December.

Last Day – Early Finish
We break up for the Christmas holiday next Wednesday 20th December - at 1.30 pm. Please make arrangements to collect your child/children at the earlier time - thank you.
All Nursery children should attend the morning session from 8.30am until 11.30am.
Start of Spring Term 2018
All pupils are due back to school on Thursday 4th January – at the usual time.
Epiphany Mass
This will take place on Friday 5th January in school. All parents, carers and family members are most welcome to attend. We will open the front entrance for visitors shortly before 2:30 pm.
Parents’ Evening
Our Parents’ Evenings will now take place on Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th January – from 3.35pm until 6pm. This will be a good opportunity to discuss your child’s latest assessment results. We will send home a letter, during the first week back after Christmas, inviting you to select a convenient appointment time. Mrs Parry (Year 1 teacher) held her meetings this week as she will not be in school on the 16th and 18th January.
