Dear Parent/Carer,

Hope you enjoyed the extended weekend – we were lucky enough to see some lovely sunny weather! A big thank you to all the family members who attended our Ascension Day Mass, this afternoon, commemorating Jesus’ ascension into heaven. Our Year 6 pupils have been very busy this week revising for their end of Key Stage 2 SATs tests taking place next week (please see further details below).

SATs Week

Our Year 6 pupils will complete their SATs tests according to the timetable below. We have invited Year 6 to attend a Breakfast Club, every morning of the tests, to help them to prepare (please see the letter sent home for further details).

Mrs Sullivan’s Early Bird Group

Unfortunately, due to budget constraints this financial year, we are no longer in a position to be able to offer Mrs Sullivan’s Early Bird Group after the May Half Term Break. The last session of this group will now take place on Friday 25th May 2018. We are really sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Follow-up Autism Coffee Morning

Thank you to all the parents who attended our HACs Coffee Morning/Presentation last week. Hope you found the information shared useful and also the opportunity to share your experiences with other parents.

A few parents mentioned that they thought it would be helpful to hold a follow-up Coffee Morning to discuss some of the issues raised. As such, we have arranged this for Friday 25th May, from 8.45am. Visitors may make their way to the school hall after dropping their children off at school in the morning.

We have not invited any speakers into school on this day but instead this will give parents the chance to meet up and chat informally. If you weren’t able to attend the HACs Coffee Morning, but would still like to attend on the 25th May, you are more than welcome.

Hot Weather

We are lucky enough to have seen some lovely weather over the last week. Please remember to apply sun cream to your child before school and to send them into school with a sun hat and water bottle (transparent bottle with a sports style, non-drip lid). Pupils may refill their bottle during their break times.

Our Sports Days for this year will take place as follows:

Thur 12th July: Sports Day for Years 1 to 6, from 9.30am, on Rockingham Recreational Ground.

Fri 13th July: Early Years Sports Day, from 9.30am, in school. Both Nursery classes should attend the morning session on this day.
