Thursday 20th April 2017
Welcome back. We hope you had a fantastic Easter and enjoyed spending the time with your children. We have a busy Summer Term to look forward to including our Maths Week, class assemblies, Sports Days and Year 6 Leavers’ Production and a separate mass.
Maths Week
Throughout next week we will be celebrating our annual Maths Week in school. As a part of this week we would like to invite all parents to attend our Parents’ Maths Open Afternoon, on Friday 28th April. From 2.30pm parents/carers will have the opportunity to visit their child’s class to observe some of the investigations, problems and puzzles that have been planned. At 3.15pm, our PTA will be serving refreshments in the school hall (for a small donation) and there will also be the opportunity to view some of the maths resources used in each class. Hope to see you there.
Year 4 Swimming Lessons
Year 4 will start their swimming lessons next Wednesday 26th April. All pupils taking part require their swimming costume and a towel. If your child is unable to take part for any reason - please let their class teacher know the reason via a written note or an email to the school office. Thank you.
Year 1 – Coming Into School
Reminder: All Year 1 pupils should now come into school, each morning, via the main entrance (instead of the green gate). Thank you.
Clothes Collection
We are arranging a clothing collection to raise funds for the school after half term. Can the clothes be brought into school on Monday 24th April as these will be collected on Tuesday. We thank you in anticipation of receiving lots of bags of unwanted clothing, linens, shoes, bags and belts to raise money.
Class Assemblies
Our first class assembly for this term, led by Year 3, will take place next Tuesday 25th April – at 9am. All parents, carers and family members are most welcome to attend. A member of staff will open up the front entrance, shortly before 9am, for all visitors to make their way to the school hall. For a list of other class assembly dates – please see below.
Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers
Thank you for all the donations of these vouchers – please continue to send them into school via your child’s book bag. One voucher will be issued in Sainsbury’s stores for every £10 spent. The more vouchers we receive – the more sports equipment we can purchase for our pupils to use.
