Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

‘Community not Committee’

As soon as your child is accepted into the family of St Mary’s you, as a parent, are already a PTA member. Whether you are a parent, carer, guardian, grandparent, member of the church parish or wider community we welcome you to come and make a difference to your child's education.

We pride ourselves in creating an environment for everyone to be involved in a child’s education and adding value to their experience. There are many different ways to do this and it really doesn’t have to take a lot of your time. By donating your skills, experience and time you can make a difference to be part of something very special. We have many activities throughout the year that you can support this extraordinary school and if you’re unsure how, please contact any of the parents below who will be happy to help you to be involved.

All schools have had their budget cut and our events raise much needed funds to provide equipment and resources to broaden our children’s educational experience beyond the curriculum. However, it’s not all about raising money but having the opportunity to meet, have fun and celebrate being part of a great community.

PTA Facebook Page

The aim of this page is for the whole school community to share and promote fundraising ideas and for parents to feedback on events organised by the PTA. It’s also an additional and fun way to keep up-to-date with what’s going on and for parents to engage with each other easily. Please share the group with other parents/carers and family members – it is a closed group to ensure data/photographic protection and will be closely monitored by the PTA. Photographs will not be published on the page unless they are school approved or are links to school published photos.

All applications, school policy queries or complaints should be addressed directly with school as they will not be published.
