Thursday 13th July 2017
Thank you to the numerous parents, carers and family members who came along to one of our Sports Days this week. We were really lucky that the weather stayed dry and the children had a fantastic time taking part in the various events – even the parents got involved with our tug-of-war competition! Thank you also to everybody who visited our Book Fair this week. For every book sold we were able to take another to use in our school library and classrooms. Our Governors visited school on Tuesday evening to meet with subject co-ordinators to discuss curriculum developments and action points for next year. Governors and staff then attended a special mass at our Church to celebrate the end of this term. Yesterday, our Year 6 pupils departed school for their PGL residential trip and they are due to return to school tomorrow afternoon. We have kept in regular contact with the staff who accompanied them and have heard lots of stories about the fun activities they have been involved in.

And the best class attendance is for Year 4 !!
All the children with 100% attendance and the Year 4 pupils without holidays in term taken will be awarded 2 Silver Blades Ice Rink vouchers to use during the summer holidays.
Many congratulations to these children and their parents for their commitment to school and their learning.
We hope we can continue rewarding excellent attendance and if you or your company have a scheme that can support this, please let us know at the school office.
WE WALK Sponsorship
Thank you to everyone who sponsored the children with this cause. I am pleased to announce that the school has raised an amazing £695.52!! This money will be forwarded on to the WE organisation to help Ecuador with supplying clean water. Thank you to everyone once again.
Miss Copper
No Nursery sessions on 19th July
Please note that there will be no Nursery sessions on 19th July as they have already come in an extra session for their school trip.
Fundraising for the School
The clothes collection bags are available at the school entrance this week. We ask if these can be brought into school next Monday 17th July as these will be collected on Tuesday. We thank you in anticipation of receiving lots of bags of unwanted clothing, linens, shoes, bags and belts to raise money.
School Trips
Tomorrow, we have lots of classes out on school trips. Years 1 and 2 are visiting Gulliver’s Dino and Farm Park in Milton Keynes linking with the dinosaur topic that they have been exploring in class. Year 6 will return from PGL. Year 5 will be travelling to Black Park, in Iver, to take part in the Go Ape tree-top assault course challenge. We’re sure they’ll have lots of things to talk about on their return to school.

Please note, as per school trip letters mention, when you order a school dinner for a school trip day, your order will be for a packed lunch. These are the different sandwich options for the trips:
