Space Dress-up: Tomorrow
Our Space Fortnight concludes tomorrow with our Space Dress-up Day. To celebrate we would like to invite all pupils to come to school wearing clothes/costumes associated with science fiction characters from space stories, films or TV programmes. We look forward to seeing a whole host of aliens and fantastical creatures!
One World Week Dress-up Day
As a part of next week’s One World Week, all classes will be finding out more about the customs and cultures of a particular country. On Friday 20th October we are inviting all pupils to come to school wearing clothes/costumes associated with this country. This could simply be items of clothing that are the same colour as the national flag. Each class will study the following countries:

Curriculum Open Afternoon
We would like to invite all parents to attend our Curriculum Open Afternoon - taking place next Thursday 19th October. From 2pm, parents will get the opportunity to have a look around the school whilst the children are completing various One World Week activities. At 2.45pm there will be the opportunity to enjoy some refreshments in the hall and to view some of the work each class has been doing as a part of One World Week.
Food from around the World
As a part of our Curriculum Open Afternoon (and linking with our One World Week theme) we are hoping to be able to provide parents with various refreshments/snacks from around the World. If you are willing to contribute any items (cakes, pastries, biscuits, savoury snacks) please send these into school on Thursday 19th October. You may wish to bake (or buy) items from your home country or from the country that your child will be studying as a part of One World Week e.g. Polish paczki, Portuguese custard tarts, Welsh cakes, Italian biscotti, Chinese spring rolls, Mexican churros, New Zealand Anzac biscuits etc.
Our PTA will also be serving tea and coffee in the hall (for a donation of £1 per cup) – please remember to bring some change.
INSET Day – School Closed
