Dear Parent/carer,

A big thank you to everybody who has accompanied pupils to and from Church over the last two weeks. Visits like this wouldn’t be possible without the continued support we receive from our family members. Our school is set to become increasingly busy over the next few weeks due to various Christmas events - please check out the ‘Upcoming Events’ list below for an overview of key dates for your diary.

Test Week

Throughout next week we will be holding our Test Week in school. The results of these tests will be analysed and used to set individual pupil targets and appropriate support. We would like to give you the opportunity to discuss your child’s results at one of our Parent Evenings scheduled for Tuesday 9th and Thursday 11th January (a letter inviting you to select a convenient time will follow at a later date).

School Photographer

Our photographer will visit school next Tuesday 28th November to take individual pupil photographs.

Years 2 and 5 Mass

Next Tuesday 28th November, Years 2 and 5 will walk to Church to participate in the morning mass. If you are able to help accompany the children to and from Church - please let your child’s class teacher know. We will be leaving school just after 9am.

Christmas Non-Uniform Day

On Friday 1st December our PTA are inviting all pupils to come to school wearing Christmas clothes. This could be Christmas colours (red/green), Christmas jumpers or accessories i.e. hats, hair bands, decorations attached to a top. There is no need to spend any money on an outfit. Please bring in chocolates, wine or spirits for the Christmas Fayre at school drop-off on the 1st December. The PTA team will collect your donations. Thank you for your help in advance.

Boxes of Tissues Needed

It’s that time of year again when tissues are in high demand across the school and our supplies are running really low! If any parents would like to donate any boxes of tissues to our school this would be much appreciated. Please send any boxes into school via your child’s book bag. Thank you in advance.

Year 5 BFI Trip

This week, Year 5 visited the BFI Southbank, in London, to take part in a ‘Maths and the Movies’ event. Activities included solving maths puzzles to find Nemo and various investigations involving Minions and other characters from popular children’s films. The afternoon ended with a special screening of Finding Dory. Unfortunately the children arrived back in school late due to a signal failure on the London Underground track – sorry for any inconvenience caused.

With the cold season upon us we would be grateful for donations from parents of boxes of tissues.  As you can imagine we get through loads of boxes and have depleted our budget allocation.  Donations would be gratefully appreciated.
