Dear Parent/Carer,

Hopefully you had the opportunity to attend one of our Parents’ Evenings this week and that you found your meeting useful. If you require any further information, please speak to your child’s class teacher. The best time to catch them is after school when they have finished dismissing their class. Alternatively, you can send a note into school via your child’s book bag. The children are very much looking forward to the arrival of the Life Bus in school tomorrow. Throughout next week, each class will get the opportunity to visit – please see further details below.

Life Bus

The Life Bus is a mobile classroom which teaches children health and wellbeing topics including the importance of a healthy diet, exercise and how drugs can affect the body. In addition, activities will help them to develop the skills to manage their feelings and the risks they may encounter so that they can take responsibility for their own lives. All work covered will be appropriate to the age and needs of each year group. A separate letter has been sent home providing more details and inviting parents/carers to attend a session to find out more about the work covered.

Coffee Morning

Next Thursday 3rd May, we will be holding a coffee morning in our school hall, from 9.30am, serving tea, coffee and pastries. At 9.45am, two representatives from HACS (Hillingdon Autistic Care and Support) will lead a short presentation about the services and support that they provide in the local area for children with autism and their families. If you would like to attend, please wait by the main entrance to school and a member of staff will open up the doors (shortly before 9.30am) - for visitors to make their way to the school hall. Hope to see you there!

Never been to a Race Night? You are in for a real treat!

No complicated betting odds, a simple way to have great fun

Here’s how it works:

  1. We show 8 pre-recorded horse races throughout the evening, each with 8 numbered horses.
  2. You can bet on which ever horse you think will win the race.
  3. You bet on as many horses as you like (£1 per bet).
  4. You are given a ticket for each bet you make.
  5. When all bets are placed, the race begins and the winner displayed.
  6. If your horse wins you collect your cash prize!

This is such a fun event and gets very competitive so be prepared to lose your voice as you shout for your horse to win!
