Next Friday 2nd October: CAFOD Non-uniform Day

Pippa Goodhart – Author Visit

On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to be visited by children’s author - Pippa Goodhart.

Pippa visited every class to read some of her stories, to tell pupils how she became an author and to answer any questions they had. Thank you to everybody who stayed after school to buy books and to get them signed by Pippa.

CAFOD Harvest Day

Next Friday (2nd October) we will be celebrating CAFOD’s ‘Harvest Day’ in school - the theme this year is ‘Brighten Up This Harvest’.

We are holding a non-uniform day and would like to invite all children to come to school dressed in bright, colourful clothing (in return for bringing in a £1 donation to CAFOD).

Our Year 6 pupils will also be holding a cake sale, after school, to raise money - please remember to bring some change if you would like to purchase any cakes. A representative from the charity will visit school, on Tuesday 29th September, to lead an assembly with pupils – telling them more about the work that they do.

The Big Birdhouse Project

Next Monday, we will be taking each class (excluding Nursery) to the ‘intu’ shopping centre, in Uxbridge, to visit the ‘Big Birdhouse’ exhibition. Fifteen British celebrities have each designed a sizeable birdhouse which will be on display, alongside poster designs from local schools (including our own). You can visit the following website for more details (including details of the celebrities who have contributed:

If you are able to help on this visit – please let your child’s class teacher know as soon as possible. Each year group will leave school at the following times:

9.15am: Reception (Upper Early Years)

9.45am: Year 1

10.15am: Year 2

10.45am: Year 3

1.15pm: Year 4

1.45pm: Year 5

2.15pm: Year 6

Football Team Update

Our newly established football team played their first match of the season, against St. Helen’s, on Wednesday. They worked brilliantly as a team and won the game 3-2. Well done to all the pupils who played – their behaviour was a credit to our school!
