Christmas Lunch 2015

As Christmas approaches, this has been a particularly busy week in school. On Tuesday the children looked fantastic in their Christmas jumpers/accessories and it was lovely to see so many of them enjoying their Christmas lunch (the chocolate yule log was a real favourite)! Lunch was followed by the EYs/KS1 and KS2 discos in the afternoon. The following day, Years 3 to 5 performed their production for parents, carers and other family members - the singing, acting and dancing was superb and all pupils performed their parts brilliantly. Yesterday the children enjoyed a pantomime of Mother Goose (in the morning), a music concert (in the afternoon) and it was great to see so many of you at our Christmas Carol Service (in the evening). Earlier today, the whole school celebrated the end of this term with a special mass – thank you to everybody who helped walk with their child’s class to and from Church. Please visit the ‘Photo Gallery’ on our website for lots of photographs taken throughout this week:

Thank you – ‘Friends of St. Mary’s’

A really big thank you to everybody who helped to make last night’s Christmas Carol Service and Fair such a success. A huge amount of effort went into the fair, including all the preparation beforehand (purchasing items, selling raffle tickets, ticketing prizes, decorating and setting up the hall) and the help on the various stalls last night. Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the excellent support we get from our family members and we really appreciate all the work that was involved.

Parents’ Evening

Our next parents’ evenings will take place on Tuesday 12th and Thursday 14th January 2016, from 3.35pm until 6pm. This will be an opportunity to discuss your child’s latest assessment results and planned targets/support. A separate letter inviting you to request an appointment will be sent home during the first week back after the December break.
