World Book Day 2016

World Book Day Celebrations

The children looked fantastic yesterday in their various costumes. Every class walked to Waterstones, in Uxbridge, to exchange their £1 voucher for a specially printed book.

Year of Mercy Mass at Westminster Cathedral

On Wednesday 2nd March four children from Year 5 attended the Year of Mercy Mass, celebrated by Cardinal Nichols, along with 900 other pupils from Diocese of Westminster schools.  The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were a great credit to our school.

CANCELLED - Years 2 and 5 Visit to Church

As many of you will be aware, Fr Nicholas’ mother passed away last week, therefore Years 2 and 5 will no longer be visiting Church - next Wednesday 9th March as this is the day of the funeral.  Please keep Fr Nicholas in your prayers.

We will let you know if we are able to reschedule this trip at a later date.

Test Week

Throughout next week, all pupils will be involved in various tests. The results will be analysed and used to plan targets and support for next term. Wherever possible, please avoid taking your child out of school for any appointments during next week.

Sainsburys Active Kids Vouchers

Thank you for all the donations of these vouchers – please continue to send them into school via your child’s book bag. One voucher will be issued in Sainsbury’s stores for every £10 spent (until the 3rd May 2016) – all vouchers are now printed on a single piece of paper alongside till receipts. The more vouchers we receive – the more sports equipment we can purchase for our pupils to use.

Sickness and diarrhoea

As mentioned in the Attendance Policy, we ask parents not to send their children into school for 24 hours after they were last sick (or had diarrhoea) as it will help prevent spreading the bug all around the school.

Could we also remind you that when pupils are not well enough to come into school we are unable to give them homework.  However, if they are well enough it would be good if they could read at home.

Next Wednesday – No Early Bird

Unfortunately Mrs Sullivan is unable to take her RM Easimaths Group, next Wednesday 9th March. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
