Fun at PGL!

Year 6 spent a fun-filled three days at the PGL Residential Centre this week. The children, and staff, returned exhausted after taking part in a range of action –packed activities including the giant trapeze, abseiling, zip wire and obstacle course. Please take a look in the ‘Photo Gallery’ (on our website) for lots of photographs taken during the visit.

Thank you – Pirate Costumes

Our Early Years Team would like to say a big thank you for all the donations of pirate fancy dress costumes this week. The children have had lots of fun dressing up and playing in a newly created pirate ship – there’s been lots of shouts of ‘land ahoy’ and ‘all aboard me hearties’!

Year 1 Phonics Screening Check

IMPORTANT: Due to the Early Years trip, LEYs and UEYs pupils must wear their uniform to school on this day.

Luxury Goods and Non-uniform day Friday 24th June

This is one of the most popular stalls at the fete and your support is very much appreciated.  Please send in bottles of wine or spirits or boxed chocolates on Friday 24th June.

Launch of the PTA Facebook page

We are really excited to announce the launch of St Mary’s PTA Facebook page, please join: ‘Parent Teacher Association of St. Mary's Catholic Primary Uxbridge’

The group’s aim is for the whole school community to share and promote fundraising ideas for the school; for parents to feedback on events organised by St Mary's PTA. It’s also an additional and fun way to keep up-to-date with what’s going on and for parents to engage with each other easily. Please share the group with other parents/carers/family – it is a closed group to ensure data/photographic protection and will be closely monitored by the PTA. Photos will not be published on the page unless they are school approved photos or links to school published photos.

All applications, school policy queries or complaints should be addressed directly with school as they will not be published.

School uniform donations

Another popular stall at the fete is the second-hand uniform stall, please send in all uniform that no longer fits etc. We will be collecting uniform until Friday 24th June. Just pop it into a bag and leave at school door main entrance.

Silent Auction Offers for the Summer Fete – offers please!

This stall was very successful last year thanks to all your generous offers. On the day of the fete people offer written bids for various services. So please send in your offers to stmaryspta@outlook.com. We are looking for parents and their families to offer free babysitting for one evening, 2-3 hours gardening, free cut and blow-dry, cook a dinner for a family, manicure, pedicure, could be an offer of an unwanted gift, you may have the opportunity to bid for Euro Disney passes, make a birthday cake, 2 hours ironing. These are just some ideas.  You all have talents! Offer it free for another school family to bid for and raise money for the school.

We still need ………….
