Cafod Family Fast Day
Non Uniform Day - Cafod Family Fast Day
On Friday 7th October, we will be having a non-uniform day to raise money for Cafod. The children need to wear brightly coloured clothing (no hair colour). Please could children either bring in £1 or a non-perishable food item such as dried pasta, rice or soup. Thank you as ever for your generous support.
Parents’ Evenings
We hope you found the meetings this week useful. If you have any further questions - please speak to your child’s class teacher after school.
Hair Accessories
We ask that pupils only wear plain coloured hair bands, beads and hair clips that are in keeping with the school uniform colours (green, white, black or grey). For health and safety reasons, we also request that children with long hair and beads tie their hair back. For a full copy of our Uniform Policy - please visit our website: .www.st-marys.hillingdon.sch.uk/page/?title=Policies&pid=23
School Photographer
On Monday, our photographer will be visiting school to take individual pupil photographs. We ask that all pupils wear their full school uniform. Thank you in advance.
International ‘Walk to School Day’
Next Wednesday 5th October is International Walk to School Day and to celebrate we will be encouraging all pupils to walk, cycle or scoot to school. We appreciate that some of our families live quite far away, but if you could try to park a little bit further away, this would be much appreciated. All year groups will be doing follow up work in class, linked to their PSHE curriculum.
Years 3 and 4 Mass
Next Tuesday 4th October, Years 3 and 4 will walk to Church to participate in the 9.30am Mass. If you are able to accompany your child’s class to and from Church – please let your child’s class teacher know as soon as possible (we will be leaving school just after 9am). Thank you in advance.
Macmillan Charity Stall
A big thank you to Esmae (Year 1), and her mum for organizing this charity stall in school last week. We are delighted to announce that they raised £145 for Macmillan which will pay for lots of great things including one nurse’s support to a cancer patient for a day. Both Esmae and her mum would like to thank all the parents and carers for their generous donations.
PTA News
As you all know we are holding a PTA Coffee Morning, Friday 30th September 9am - 10am in the school hall. Hope lots of you can make it! We aim to organize a number of these throughout this coming school year; we will endeavor to arrange these on different days, morning and afternoon in order that most parents can get to them. In addition we will have PTA meetings in the church hall during the evening.
Over the coming weeks we will keep you updated with meetings and events.
