Thank you to all the visitors who came along to watch Year 5’s class assembly on Tuesday morning. The children taught us lots about the story of Pentecost through drama, readings and prayer and they sang and read their parts beautifully.

EYs and KS1 Drama Workshop
Tomorrow morning, our Early Years and Key Stage 1 pupils will be taking part in a drama workshop.
May Procession
Tomorrow, Father Nicholas will visit school, at 2pm, to lead our May Procession. All parents, carers and family members are most welcome to attend, please arrive by 1:50 p.m.
Year 3 Theatre Trip Thursday 8th June
Year 3 children will need to wear school uniform and bring a packed lunch, if you haven’t ordered one from our caterers.
Half Term
As we are sure you are aware, we finish tomorrow (at the normal time) for the half term break. We hope you
have a lovely break and a good rest. All pupils are due back to school on Monday 5th June. Mrs Sullivan’s Early Bird group will also resume on this day.

Hot weather
During the hot weather season, can parents/carers provide their children with sun hats, water bottles and apply sun screen at home. Please do not send any sun screen to school.
Donations of Boxes of Tissues
We again would also like to ask for donations of boxes of tissues for the classes. We are most grateful for your support
Stamps
A reminder that we still collect used stamps which help to support hearing dogs for the deaf. If you have any that you would like to donate, please send them in via your child’s book bag.
Labelling all uniform, water bottles and lunch boxes
Please ensure all your child’s uniform, water bottles and lunch boxes are labelled with their name. This will help to prevent lost property.

School Fundraising Team (PTA) Newsletter
4 weeks to our largest fund raiser of the year, Summer Fete 24th June
We need to secure our main raffle prizes very, very soon. Would your employer like to donate a prize? A local business ? A huge thank you would be printed in the Fete Programme. Very useful for community engagement. We have letters that can be given to businesses. If you need one, talk to your class rep.
I am sure you all know someone that would benefit from an ad.in our Summer Fete programme
Help to raise funds before the Fete begins.
- Do you regularly use the same pub or restaurant?
- Are you having work done on your house, garden or car?
- Are you going to a hair salon or beautician this week?
- Are you going to a children’s party?
- Do you use a gym or a personal trainer?
Why not ask them if they want to advertise or give a raffle prize? They might say ‘yes’!
The programme is an A5, high quality, professionally printed publication that will reach 250 families. Again, we have letters ready to be given out to small, local businesses. Full page £25, half page £15.

Auction of Promises
This is a great fund raiser at our fete and it really enhances the community feeling of our school family but we need your promises to make it a success. In the past we have had the following offers that people have bid on:
- To babysit for a family for one evening
- Cook a meal for a family and deliver to their house
- Make a birthday cake
- 2 hours of ironing
- A beauty treatment
- 2 hours of a carpentry job
- 2 hours of gardening
The list is endless, you all have talents, offer one of them to a family. All offers to stmaryspta@outlook.com, class reps, Facebook, Sarah, Sue and Aileen.
